olivia has a therapy session yesterday. she came out with a big smile on her face so i trust that it went well. i only mention this to let those of you following know that we are doing all we can to help olivia address all of her hurts, needs, "issues, everything. i can tell you that she is a very forgiving person.
i have wanted to take olivia bra shopping since the first day she arrived. i have been racking my brain about how i could broach this subject subtly with olivia. after having her here for 3 weeks i have learned that olivia does not do subtle. you must be very direct and specific with her. that's not a bad thing! i love the direct approach myself.
i learned that when she was "taking pills" (her words) she was 104 and a 34B. well, alot has changed since then and she now has 3 wonderful new bras!
that was just 1 of today's tasks. she was also finger printed for her background check. for whatever reason this was a necessary part in obtaining her dental assistant license.
last but not least olivia, myself and logan went to the fairgrounds to set up for a craft fair which is being held tomorrow. our items can be found on etsy at www.etsy.com/shop/TwoisCompany . she has been a trooper to help us with things that are really probably of no interest to her whatsoever. never a complaint.
she continues to show great interest in the dental assistant duties. asking questions all the time in order to learn more. she has been much more assertive than i would have ever dreamed. she is in the kitchen at 6:15 each morning dressed and ready to go.
this journey is a marathon - not a sprint. that's true for all of us. not just olivia!!! i keep telling her to be patient and not to allow herself to get discouraged.
PS - she is about 3/4s finished with her latch hook rug.
